Darren Newell joined Security Associates Corporation™ in November 2000, as Chief Executive Officer and President. Darren has more than 20 years of experience in the information security sector. Before joining Security Associates Corporation™, he held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Lincoln Managed Security, Vice President of Global Security at Southwestern Bell Data Communications (where he led a key role of the Pacific Bell Network Integration Team to create the newly formed South Western Bell Data Communications Division). Prior to SBC, Darren held senior management roles at Secure Computing Corporation, TRW Space Communications, Gould Defense Systems and the U.S. Air Force as a Cryptographic Communications Specialist.

Darren has had the opportunity to build awareness programs, provide managed security and support for Fortune 100 companies including American Express, Cisco, Citicorp, Federal Express and Sun Microsystems, develop secure satellite communications and work on seven plus years of classified projects including the MSE Ground Radio System.

Darren holds a Bachelors from Cal State in Electrical Engineering, a Bachelors in Telecommunications Management, and a MBA in Technology Management.
