Darren Newell joined Security Associates Corporation™ in July of 2003, as Chairman of the board and President. Darren has more than 30 years of experience in the technology IA security sector. Before joining Security Associates Corporation™, he held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Lincoln Managed Security, Vice President of Global Security at Southwestern Bell Data Communications (where he led a key role of the Pacific Bell Network Integration Team to create the newly formed South Western Bell Data Communications Division). Prior to SBC, Darren held senior management roles at Secure Computing Corporation, TRW Space Communications, Gould Defense Systems and the U.S. Air Force as a Cryptographic Communications Specialist.

Darren has had the opportunity to build several security and privacy programs, provide strategic direction in security for Fortune 100 companies including American Express, Cisco, Wells Fargo Bank, Federal Express and government customers as well,Darren also worked on a number of Top Secret initiatives for DOD and the Intel community.

Darren holds a Bachelors of Science degree from DeVry University, in Telecommunications Management, and a MBA in Technology Management from UOP.
